PHI BETA SIGMA 

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C. on January 9, 1914, by three young African-American male students. The Founders, The Most Honorable A. Langston Taylor, The Most Honorable Leonard F. Morse, and The Most Honorable Charles I. Brown, wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service.

Phi Beta Sigma prides itself on growing and grooming its members to be mentally, spiritually, and economically intelligent. We do that by educating and surrounding our members with the community and knowledge to impact and grow themselves as a brand.

Phi Beta Sigma prides itself on having high standards of academic excellence and scholastic achievement for all its members. As a group we push our members towards the forefront of education and progressive thinking.

Phi Beta Sigma makes it a priority to pioneer reform for issues as they pertain to the treatment and equality of individuals both foreign and domestic. Men of Phi Beta Sigma embrace a long standing tradition of members who have progressed society and impacted the standard of modern living. Members to include but not limited to George Washington Carver and Huey P. Newton.
